The Dainese Wave 1 is a fourth- generation back protector by D-TEC, the culmination of a long journey that started in the 1970s with Barry Sheene and still continues today with Valentino Rossi and a whole host of great motor-racing champions. With the Wave 1, D-TEC has set new standards in both protection and comfort: the Wave-1 has an innovative corrugated structure with greater mechanical resistance than the previous versions, yet is exactly the same weight. It also boasts a brand new ventilation system. The waist joint, introduced with the BackSpace, enables the protector to follow the torso's lateral movements.
